CipherShield Dual Keys Series with 4TB storage capacity is suitable for confidential projects where the data have to be shared. i.e. John steps into the office, plug his key to the drive, and would like to see on what's going on with the latest update on the new project, but he can only unlock the data when Jane, his partner/manager, arrives with her key. Once both keys are connected to the drive, the data and the drive itself will be unlocked.

This unique design utilizes NIST certified AES 256-bit encryption for ultimate data protection. eSATA interface is available next to USB 2.0 for fast data transfer when working with huge files. The drive comes bundled with 4 keys. Only two keys are needed for daily use, the other two can be put away safely as the spare keys. They can also be distributed so up to 4 persons are authorized to access the drive.

However, loading that same encryption into a removable CipherKey - that when removed not only makes all the data stored completely unreadable, but the drive itself becomes transparent and is completely invisible to the operating system. Now that's new. The fact that this drive is portable, can plug into any USB port and immediately accessible on any operating system, is just icing on the cake. CipherShield design features a chip embedded in the access key which matches the chip on the controller board. Since CipherShield encrypts data independent of the operating system; removing the drive and connecting it directly to the SATA BUS will not defeat the encryption.

CipherShield Slim Drive is smaller, lighter, faster, and provides a quick and easy solution for storage. At the size of 2.5" and weight a little over 1 lb, the CipherShield Slim Drive is so compact - it will fit in your pocket. Plug and play installation means you can be using the drive right out of the box. CipherShield AES Encryption External Slim drive ensures high level of data integrity and security.

The drive will automatically lock down its content once the key is removed. Data will not be seen or accessed in the event of theft or loss of the external drive. All Buslink drives are housed in a stackable metal alloy case which dissipates heat and are pre-formatted for 100% quality control and convenience to the user. Units are supplied with two keys and registration is required for key duplication.

Introducing the newest, fastest generation of USB: USB-C. USB-C features a new, smaller reversible connector that's easier to plug in. They support USB 3.1 Gen 2 at 10 Gbps, twice the speed of USB 3.1 Gen 1 (formerly USB 3.0). USB-C is also compatible to Thunderbolt 3 which makes it more convenient. With newer MacBook and other laptops sporting USB-C ports only, support of USB-C is even more critical. Therefore, we have updated many of our product lines to include USB-C ports with more being added.
